I think I have written about how changes here in Tasmania seem more evident and somehow a shock to my system compared to Stockholm.
Perhaps because one can still envision the island as a wild place.
Whereas Stockholm, can be envisioned as always having been grand, industrious, highly populated and therefore damned to constant change.
So here, walks have been encased with fences-
Houses have been pulled down and apartments put up,
More of the hillside has been cleared for more houses,
The waterfront is starting to get "revamped", with a new enclosed pier that has small stalls selling local produce/wine/products-Competition seems to have cropped up- where once there was only one ferry to Maria now there are two, Two tall ships that take people out on the Derwent, two fast boats to go out past Bruny. The look out on Wellington had the interior changed. We might finally be getting an internet connection upgrade to perhaps be close to what we have in Europe.
